ARCHIVED PHOTOS NOVEMBER 2006 / FEBRUARY 2007

2-28-07 Hillel Day School.  What a great time!  We had the pleasure of visiting Hillel Day School this week and just had a wonderful time!  Everyone there is so creative and into the arts! A special thank you to Suzi Terebelo and Margie Jablin.

2-15-07 Boy Scouts.  We never dreamed that we would meet so many myth specialists at the Boy Scouts Annual Dinner.  It was so wonderful hearing what you thought about myths, and being able to share our stories with you!  A special thanks to Lisa and Jordan Dixon for having us. What a great bunch of people you are, family and friends included!

2-15-07 Allendale, MI.  Allendale Elementary is a really great place!  We had so much fun with every single grade there!  And for such a huge school, each and every one of you made us feel so welcome!  A super special thanks to Nancy Draper and Mr. Bateman! You two are certainly special!

2-13-07  With Contest Winner Matthew C. Harmon.  We couldn't have been prouder than to pose for a picture with our grand prize winner Matthew C. Harmon.  Matthew's dream is to be a writer when he grows up. He even has his first series planned.  Here is s picture that Mr. Brege drew of Matthew's myth for his winning story entry. It was so wonderful to meet everyone at Starr Elementary! Hope to see you again!

2-9-07  What great fun I had popping in for a quick visit to Hillside Elementary to give our second runner up Saswat Sahoo his gift.  It was great to chat with such a wonderful group of writers!  Yes, that's you Mrs. Vlahos class, you are truly writers!  Also, a special thanks to Mrs. Vlahos, and her lovely student teacher for inspiring their students!  The students were really thrilled to see a drawing that Darrin did from Saswat's story!

Nothing is more touching than to see these students in their re-built libraries in Nichols and Gorenflo Elementary Schools in Biloxi, Mississippi.  After the horrible events of hurricane Katrina, Darrin and I contributed cases of books to help them stock their shelves, so these beautiful, peaceful pictures of children having a place to read again means so much to us!  Also, if you look closely, their t-shirts say 'Home Again.'  We're so glad that we could help. Thanks Merrie Campbell for contacting us!

2-2-07 Williamston,  MI and 2-3-07 on campus MSU, East Lansing MI.  Thanks so much to Kate Fedewa and Tuesday's Books for having us at their Children's Writers Conference.  We had a great time! We got to meet some super nice authors and illustrators- to be, saw our friends from Tuesday's Books and of course we have to mention the volunteer staff - what a wonderful group of people!

12-23-06 Courtside at the Palace of Auburn Hills.  Detroit Pistons vs Atlanta Hawks.  A great big thanks to our friends who got us courtside recently for a Pistons game!  Mick is a huge basketball fan.  And in the last pic, just in case you don't recognize him without his face guard...it's Mick's favorite player Rip Hamilton.

12-21-06 Great Oaks Academy, Warren MI. What a way to start the holidays...with a visit to see all of our new friends at Great Oaks Academy! We had a fantastic time and everyone at that school is just wonderful! A special thank you to Bernadette and a big congratualtions to all of the fantastic readers! That's the group of super readers in the upper left hand corner. And can't forget to mention Mick and Bryan! P.S. Lunch was fantastic and thank you so much!

12-15-06 Borders Laurel Park Mall and 12-16-06 Borders Roseville. We had a great time at Borders Express in Laurel Park mall! As always they were as gracious and welcoming as ever! What a great group of people. And the same thing goes for the Borders Express in Roseville...thanks so much Dorie and friends! We will be back again!

11-18-06  The Holiday Magic Parade, Royal Oak, MI.   Click here, or any of the pictures above, to see  more!  Royal Oak has never been more exciting than Saturday when the exciting Holiday Magic Parade rolled into town!  Mick Morris Myth Solver was thrilled when they were invited to make an appearance.  Here is the whole gang lining up before the parade.  Author K.B. Brege full of energy very early in the morning.  The models for the series, Nathan, Mick, and Sissy in front of the alien mobile.  Mick waving as we passed by thousands and thousands of happy people.  Yikes!  The aliens!
