If you're looking for a more customized
workshop - Karen Bell-Brege offers her 'Write Away with
Improv' training. This hour long classroom intensive, for
grades 5-8, focuses on character development, action and dialogue
writing through improvisational skills. Besides teaching the
basic tools for creative writing other important elements are
covered; such as teaching students how to move their writing
forward, when and how to add dialogue to add excitement, and more.
Through improv, Bell-Brege also combines the importance of thinking
quickly and creatively on your feet. The students learn though
laughter while joining in this highly focused, educational and
